Even though they are both from Utah, Amy and Brandon met while living in New York City in 1999. As friends, Amy got into the habit of commissioning Brandon to do small pro-bono design projects for a church youth organization, beginning what would later become a full-fledged partnership. They were married in 2002 and started A+B Works in 2004 to conduct their separate but sometimes intersecting businesses under one name. Amy now works full-time as a mother of two small children and part-time representing authors. Brandon keeps a full-time job and takes on select A+B Works design projects as his schedule permits. The limited amount of work they can currently accept means that every project receives unique focus and dedication.
